A little about me. I am new to this idea of a website. I have been selling my books by auction since January of 2004. I have really enjoyed this. Making new friends and chatting online. I have made this website for listing all of my books since I have had many customers ask for a complete list. So I hope this makes it a little easier for my loyal and new customers.

I am a stay at home Mom now due to suffering a back injury at my last job that has caused me permenant partial disability. I am married to my hubby for 15 years with 2 kids and a dog. I am selling books just for something to do while being at home, after working at a job that was up to 12 hours or more a day I needed something so I wouldn't go crazy! Since I have tons of books that I had read or never got a chance to read I thought I would try to let someone else enjoy them.

This is my first attempt at a website so I tried to make it fairly user friendly. :-) :-) :-)

My New Hobby.......ShamrockBooks

As I stated before I mostly started up ShamrockBooks to keep busy. I am thoroughly enjoying my 'new hobby' and exploring many things on the web. One of the most fun aspects has been meeting new people through book selling. I hope to meet many more by doing this site. I also hope to keep finding new authors to try by now offering my books for trade. Thanks to all who have traded with me in the lasat year. I've picked up some new authors I've never tried before. So come on by and drop me a line anytime. My selling has had to become a little more than just a hobby now though, due to higher gas prices and all. What a bummer! But I still try to be very reasonable price wise and trade wise I'm pretty easy too, mostly the same as all other traders here on the web.

Why ShamrockBooks you ask???

I love Ireland!!! I love the mysticism and folklore and anything associated with Ireland! My love of all things Irish began by my reading books by Nora Roberts. It grew even stronger after I learned mt great-grandfather had been born in Ireland. So I thought how about a name that shows my love of books and Ireland......and there you have it ShamrockBooks was born.

I have been an avid reader since I was around 10. I began with the usual kid books--Little House on the Prairie books, Judy Blume books, Beverly Cleary books and so many more. By 12, I was saving all my babysitting money & buying all of VC Andrews books. I later had to sell this collection and I was not happy about that, but we do what we have to I guess.

Now my tastes have changed a bit. I enjoy books about Ireland. I mainly read romance though, because I like to escape real life stresses now and again and I enjoy happy endings. Some of my favorite authors include(in no particular order) Nora Roberts, Jayne Ann Krentz, Amanda Quick, Stella Cameron, Debbie Macomber, Lael St. James, JoAnn Ross, Judy Christenberry, Kimberly Raye,Elizabeth Lowell, Diana Palmer and most recently I've added these talented authors to that list: Lori Foster, Nancy Warren, Lucy Monroe, Katie MacAlister and many more.

This picture of the ocean makes me think of home, which I now am, back in WA. I love to go to the beach. We have a great spot here in WA--Ocean Shores. Nice beach, a total tourist attraction!!! I am also a lighthouse collector & lover! Well enough about me! Be sure and stop by again!
